No. We use time to break ties. You can see what times the bids are placed by looking at the timestamps in the auctions' bid histories.

If you see an auction closed that has two bids that are the same amount, that indicates the winner of the auction placed a Proxy Bid.

Bids retain the time when they are placed.  It is to the Bidder's advantage to get an initial bid in as early as possible. However, if the Proxy Bid is raised later, the Timestamp is changed to reflect the new bid. We recommend that you make your bid using our Proxy Bid functionality.
